Dear Friends and Colleagues – As you may have heard, Ali Youssefi, son and partner of Cyrus Youssefi, passed away recently at the age of 35 after battling stomach cancer for the past several months.  Ali was renowned for his determination, intelligence, tenacity and persuasive powers relative to the development of mixed income, mixed use projects in downtown Sacramento as reflected by the 137 unit Artist Lofts project on R Street and the just completed 140 unit project at 700 K Street adjacent to the King’s basketball arena.  Ali, along with his father Cyrus, were of the opinion that mixed income apartment developments serving all income levels of the locality is the most viable and intelligent approach for dealing with  the affordable housing crisis in California.
